Passive Voice – Voz Pasiva en presente

la voz pasiva. Para comenzar estableceremos la diferencia con el lenguaje que utilizamos habitualmente llamado voz activa en el cual la acción del verbo recae sobre el sujeto mientras que en la voz pasiva la acción del verbo recae sobre el objeto. Observa los siguientes ejemplos:
Voz Activa
The lady buys a new hat.
La dama compra un sombrero nuevo.
(El verbo “comprar” recae sobre “la dama” indicando que ella es quien realiza la acción)
 
Voz Pasiva
A new hat is bought by the lady.
Un nuevo sombrero es comprado por la dama.
(En este caso interesa que “un nuevo sombrero es comprado” sin demasiada importancia de quien realiza la acción)

Passive Voice

Sentences can be active or passive.
Active: Who is active? Passive: What happens to persons and things?

Example: Passive  Simple Present
The car is sold.
An ambulance is called.
These cars are made in England.

'by' Agent

In a sentence with active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action. This is expressed with the verb.

In the most Passive sentences the agent is not mentioned. If it is mentioned, it is usually done with the preposition "by" (by-agent).

Passive sentences with 'by' (by-agent)
Aktiv
Tom writes a letter.
Mr Grant calls an ambulance.
The classes use computers.
Passive
The letter is written by Tom.
An ambulance is called by Mr Grant.
Computers are used by the classes.

2. Everyone in the house has a task that he or she normally does. Describe what everyone does, changing each active voice sentence into a passive voice sentence:
